To provide an ‘Oasis’ where animals and humans can together, promote the human-animal bond.
Mary and Eleanor are just ordinary people who, like many people, have a connection with animals. Not only do they rescue animals, they have been rescued by animals. They have experienced the extraordinary power of the human-animal bond. Their dream is to provide a unique place where animals can live until they’re rescued. This place will also provide opportunities for people to be rescued by extraordinary animals and experiences.

The human animal bond is especially important to Dr. Jenson. She has experienced the power of this bond multiple times in her own life and appreciates its importance for other people and for animals. Mary Beus has been involved in animal rescues in many areas. During the past 12 years, her focus has been primarily in Utah. Her passion for animals stems from childhood where in addition to dogs, cats and horses, her pets also included rescued ducks, rabbits, goats, and birds of all different types.
In 2007, she and Eleanor Jenson pursued a lifelong dream that they both shared in rescuing animals. They wanted it to be a place where humans and animals bond together in a relationship that lasts forever. Furever Friends Animal Oasis has become that dream. It keeps growing every day where cats and dogs from all walks of life have this chance for a better future.
Mary graduated from Bonneville High School. Additionally, she has an associates degree in child development. She has worked as a counseling assistant in Weber School District for 30 years working with kids, teachers, and parents. This has always been a passion for her to help kids through tough times in their lives and to know that there is always hope and a chance for a better future.
